He also assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the film Black (2005), and made his acting debut with Bhansali’s Saawariya (2007) which unfortunately turned out to be a box office flop. Kapoor’s stardom shot up with his performances in Wake Up Sid (2009), Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009), Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009) and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013).Rockstar (2011) and Barfi!
